Steering Group Terms of Reference
Strategy
The NSW Natural Resources
Information Management Strategy (NRIMS) has been endorsed by all NSW
natural resources agencies as a basis of cooperation in information
management.
Vision
To fully realise the strategic
value of natural resource information to support overall Government
objectives to achieve sustainable management of NSW natural
resources.
Steering Group
The NRIMS Steering Group is
made up of representatives from natural resources and other central
agencies and has the following responsibilities:
Ensure that the strategic value
of natural resource information to support achievement of
sustainable management of NSW natural resources is fully realised.
Promote a whole-of-government
approach to natural resources information exchange and management.
Develop, implement and review the
Natural Resource Information Management Strategy (NRIMS)as
endorsed by natural resource agency CEOs.
Provide timely reports to natural
resource agencies on NRIMS implementation.
Guide and oversee NRIMS and
related whole-of-government activities such as the Community
Access to Natural Resources Information (CANRI) Program.
Influence and ensure alignment
with other State, National and International directions in the
management of natural resource information.
